Two white Open Coffee Scale prototypes on a cutting mat, surrounded by tools and parts

Hi, I’m building Open Coffee Scale.

It is an open-hardware coffee scale for V60 brewing: a small tool you can build at home, repair, modify, and improve.

Most coffee scales are closed boxes. They work, until they don’t. This project takes the opposite path: printable parts, clear electronics, open firmware, and files you can change.

The project is still early. I’m working through prototypes, calibration, enclosure design, touch controls, display behavior, and small-batch manufacturing.

The mission is simple: open hardware should not feel compromised. It can be practical, beautiful, playful, and built to last.

Follow the build, or get notified when the next batch is ready.
